Over the last few years our early RED raspberry season has started as early as May 30 and as late as June15. A "normal" red raspberry start date would be the first week of June.
Unlike our late season raspberries which bear over several weeks, the early season raspberry season is much more concentrated. Peak picking (where the berries literally "fall" into your container or the ground) is usually the second and third week of picking.
For the year 2008 peak red raspberry picking should be between June 15 and June 27.
Our early raspberry season has ended as early as June 21 and as late as July 12 but June 27 would be a good estimate for a normal year.
Special Notice On our Hours:
Be sure to call ahead (no earlier than the afternoon or evening before) for up-to-date hours and picking conditions. We may be closed certain days of the week. Heavy demand or weather conditions can also force us to stop picking before our normal closing hours.
